Blame it on NaNoWriMo

30 days 50,000 words

I have committed myself to writing (without editing) 50,000 words of my first novel. Since, I hope to turn Framescape into a novel and I am so deeply entrenched into this story, I have decided that I am going to use this as my November challenge and continue with Framescape. I have written about 3,640 words to date. However, more than half were typed in late October. Therefore, the first four chapters, I posted on this blog, are not going to count in my word total or as a part of the 50,000 words. In order for me to keep the story together I entered the whole thing into NaNo so if you want to track my progress for just the month of November you will need to subtract 2,270 words from my word meter on my site. Day one, I wrote 1,343 words toward my goal of 50,000 but I did edit them. Shame on me. I will not be doing that anymore, at least not in November.

What this means to you, my dear readers, I will no longer be posting my story for your reading pleasure. You will just have to wait until December or January to read whatever it is I decide to post.

Now, if you are following and feel completely ripped off, I am truly sorry. This will be painful for me too because I thrive on your comments. I too will be sacrificing those wonderful gifts you give me. But as a consolation think of it this way, I might end up with an actual full length story that goes beyond being just another short story.

Also, you will be too busy to read my writing between now and the end of the year. believe me you don't want to read anything that I write without editing first. More of my time goes into that than the actual writing. Yes I am that bad! You know your time is limited during this time of year. You have your own writing to do and the Holidays are upon us.

I do hope that someday you will read my story. I will most likely end up posting it on my blog but you never know, I might get lucky. I might be that one person is a hectazillon that gets lucky with a publisher but I am not holding my breath. I write for me and quite frankly for you too. I love to write and I love to read.  I truly hope you will forgive me for this decision but I really needed to do it and this was just the kick in the butt I needed. I just can't let this opportunity slip by.

Happy writing and reading
Warm wishes,
Kristen
